The support for the production of this CD reflects the spirit that inspires the help that the Williams Foundation offers to the community for the last 60 years. Most of the Foundation projects and programs deal with the development of Argentine professionals, in the areas of art, science and culture who practice their profession in the country, thus nurturing both the scientific and cultural development in Argentina. During her formative years, Elisabeth Fiocca received a grant that entitled her to study with Italian Master Francesco Marigo for four years. She had to interview with Thomas and Ana Williams, and with former Musical Director of the Williams Foundation, pianist Harold Mickey, who had the final say in approving the grant. Later in Elisabeth career, the Foundation gave her special aid to take a trip to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she took classes to polish Mozart pieces with renowned Professor Lili Kraus.
After this intense learning period and valuable artistic exchange with other musicians, Created in 1943 by Tomas J Williams and Ana King de Williams, The Williams Foundation is a non-profit organization whose goal is to enhance the development of science, art, education, culture and to strengthen the Argentine community. From its inception, the Williams Foundation has been a valuable source of aid and collaboration for both individuals and innovative institutions. By supporting them, the foundation objective is to increase the country welfare, utilizing as its main tools the expansion of knowledge and the development of its culture. Fundación Williams |
