This Argentine pianist, who has a long and prominent career, renders irreproachable versions of these pieces, showing strength, emotion giving way to one´s imagination and an effective technique. This CD is warmly commended to Schumann’s art lovers”.

“What is remarkable is that Elisabeth Fiocca had the boldness to generate an independent production of this CD, to choose an interesting program and play this Schumann’s works with an unfrequented interpretative quality that makes it worth listening to.”

“These pieces, Etudies Symphoniques and Die Davidsbundler by Robert Schumann, are quite closely related to each other and mostly reflective rather than virtuosic, although there are some such moments. Fiocca has no problem negotiating those virtues, and what is more important in these works, she sounds as if she were writing poetry on the keyboard.”

"The recital reached its peak with the performance of Sergei Prokofiev´s Sonata Op.14 No. 2. Ms. Fiocca brought about the depth of this piece, not just the percussion but also the range: the exact idea of the directness and accuracy of the feel which is one of the main features of the Russian composer; a defined emphasis in the fast tempos, powered by a continued rhythm and a wonderful melodious fullness during the slow ones, where the legato clearly treasured the harmony."
